Create Your Own Virtual Weight Loss Model

There are a few sites out there that I have found where you can create your very own virtual weight loss model. I thought it would be fun to give it a try and share the results on here.

Cosmetic Makeovers developed a virtual model that can show your starting weight, current weight and goal weight. You mouse over the information and your little model changes shape before your eyes. For bloggers or those with a website, this model is handy because you can put it right on your site (I had difficulties getting it to work, so I didn’t include an example here).

My Virtual Model developed a model that some websites use so you can virtually try on clothes online. You can customize many features, and the models do look more like people than the model at Cosmetic Makeovers. Unfortunately, you cannot do a comparison between starting/current/goal weight. However, you can create one at a time and take screenshots of each one so you can see them side by side. That’s what I did for the pictures on the right.

There is no way you can accurately get a model for your body unless the program could take into consideration all of your measurements. I view these models as something fun and interesting to do and to perhaps provide a picture for your weight loss goal.

I’m pretty darn happy with how my 147 pound model turned out…

When I lose this fat I am gonna look like Angelina Jolie! :=)

I did the Virtual Model before and the change is very cool to see. I haven’t tried others though, thanks for that link!

My only argument with the virtual model program is that there’s detail missing. The images seem to be geared to wide ranges of 30lbs or so. It’ll never show me scary anorexic Sarah at 100 lbs. for example, or the difference between 220 and 210, and I KNOW there’s one.

Wow! That’s cool and creepy at the same time. Why do computer generated people give me the heebie jeebies? Who knows.

Can you only wear shoes if you’re thin? How does that work in the program?

We’re loving this site, and you’ve encouraged Bianca and I to get our @$$es in shape. We’ve been inputing all our food into FitDay, and I’ve lost three pounds this week. First debt, now this - we’re groupies.

Tsoniki - you’re welcome!

Sarah - I didn’t try going any lower to see what I’d look like. Maybe I’ll input 100 lbs and see what happens. I’d agree that there is a difference between 220 and 210. With my first 10 lbs lost, I think my breasts did an amazing shrinking trip! LOL.

Basil - Pretty please start blogging about getting in shape. I’d love to read it!

And yes, I’m not sure why the skinny me chooses to wear high heels. Especially since the outfit I chose to put my model in is a bathing suit!

LOL at your bust shrinking with your first 10 lbs. lost. In January I tried on my ball gown and it would not zip up. It made it over my hips and waist but got stuck at the upper rib cage. I said it would when I lost my 20 lbs. Dh (manning the zipper) could not see how since I’m ’small’ on top (36B) and definitely pear shaped!

Well, 14lbs later the zipper went up fine. I wasn’t anywhere near my goal weight but had lost the first few pounds off my virtually non-existent chest so the zipper works.

It pisses me off that I just want to show a weight lost of 20 pounds, and it doesn’t show me anything changed. That really annoys me. I think 20 pounds would make me feel a lot better, and it won’t show me. Meh meh. I guess what you can do, is check the edit size area and click the - or + button to show a real difference. that’s my best guess.
