Losing Weight Step #5: Exercise!
Being as overweight as I am, when I get done working for the day I am exhausted. And that’s with sitting at my desk all day. The last thing on my mind after I get off work is to spend time exercising for I have little energy left.
So what can I do?
Basically, I have to put mind over matter and just do it. Even if it’s only walking for 15 minutes a day. Something…anything…is better than nothing. Once the weight starts coming off, then I should find my energy level increasing and then I can exercise more.
There is one exercise video that I have enjoyed in the past, “Sweatin’ to the Oldies.” Yes, there is something about Richard Simmons that makes you feel good about yourself. Plus, you can’t help but smile at the short shorts he wears. Thinking of doing that video right now makes me hurt. I don’t think I’m ready for it quite yet. But if I keep up with watching calories and taking little steps towards exercise, I will get to the point where I can workout with Richard again. Maybe I could even try a little Tae-Bo will Billy Blanks. I have one of his videos too.
So there. I’ve said it, and starting tomorrow it is my goal to exercise for at least 15 minutes/day. I will work my way up from there.

I also recommend the Leslie Sansone DVDs. She must have a dozen different “Walking Away The Pounds” work-outs. They’re super easy to do in a living room and she’s not as annoying as most.
