Recall: Dole Hearts Delight Salad Mix
I enjoy buying bagged lettuce from my grocery store because I can get good deals on it when it is close to being out-of-date. This latest recall hits close to home, and I thought I would mention it on here to help spread the word.
The voluntary recall, issued Monday, affects all packages of Hearts Delight sold in the United States and Canada with a “best if used by” date of September 19, 2007, and a production code of “A24924A” or “A24924B,” the company said.

My wife and I get lettuce at the local farm stand at this time of year; it tastes so much better and involves a lot less travel to get from one place to another that we don’t mind spending the little extra that it costs. That, and the farm stand always gives us a free “cherry bomb” hot pepper that the guy grows as a hobby on the side of his farm. Those peppers are good…
