The Starting Weigh-Inn Was Better Than I Expected

I weighed myself this morning to get the starting weight from which to work on my first mini-goal of 5 lbs. I was pleasantly surprised that it was about 10 pounds less than when I was weighed at the doctor last month. It could be a difference in the scales, but 10 pounds is 10 pounds. I’ll take it. Or rather, leave it ;)

I was going to take my blood pressure as well but I couldn’t find my blood pressure kit. After searching for everywhere I thought it could be, I came up empty handed. There’s one last place to search and that is my son’s room. He does have a play kit with doctor tools so maybe he decided to use the real thing on his stuffed animals (catching him take his stuffed doggie’s blood pressure one day with his toy blood pressure kit was too cute!).

As far as how the first full day of “Blogging Away Fat” went, all I can say is so far so good. I probably won’t write things like what I ate on here except if I go overboard. Today I had very reasonable portions and made sure I had fruit and dairy. Those are two things I know I need more of in my diet. I also exercised by doing yard work and I sure am feeling it in my arms, wrists and hands right now (I was a raking fool today LOL).

Overall, a very healthy day. It’s a step in the right direction.
