Weekly Weight Loss Progress - OMG!

Last week, I completely forgot about weighing in. I’ve also been a very bad girl when it comes to tracking my calories and exercising. I’ve been so busy with other things that I put all of that on the side burner.

I have still been watching what I eat. I love salads, so I have been having those for lunch when I can. I also have been toning down my portions. Overall, I know I am consuming less calories than I used to and I know that because I was tracking my calories for a while there. I also have been avoiding snacks (less the occasional ice cream cone in the hot weather) and water is my very good friend. All in all, I’ve still been eating in moderation but as for how many calories consumed I have no clue.

As for exercising, I haven’t been doing anything in terms of structured exercise. However, lately, when I get off work it’s off to more work around the house. I’ve been keeping active getting ready for our garage sales and cleaning and repairing our home. I have spent very little time sitting still (except for work) for the past few weeks. That’s a big reason I haven’t been posting as much on here or on Blogging Away Debt.

This morning, you can imagine how pumped I was to see that I lost 10 lbs since my last weigh in! I am now at 218 lbs. That amazes me, mostly because I am in now in pre-pregnancy weight range.

Dedicated had asked about if I am following a plan. I’m not following a diet plan developed by someone else. I’m trying to eat less overall and become more active. I see after the weigh-in this morning how valuable it is to get off my butt and get moving. It doesn’t matter if it’s cleaning our house or walking. I can’t just sit down and work on the computer or watch TV after work. These past two weeks has proved to me that being more active is so important.

This method won’t last for long. I have a feeling that once I start clearing the morbidly obese category, I’ll have to do more to keep the weight coming off at a steady rate. For right now, though, my home is thanking me for all of the work I have been doing and I feel so much better taking care of things that have been put on the backburner for a while.

I guess my plan right now is to keep eating in moderation and keep active during my non-work hours. The past two weeks I have accomplished so much and ended up losing weight. I’m going to keep at it!
